Almost everyone has had to fight to overcome one addiction or the other in his or her life time and you just may be in that position right now. Addictions of any kind are not good especially addictions to negative or harmful habits. So what are negative habits and why should we overcome them? The dictionary tells us that a bad habit is a negative behavior pattern. Picking the nose and biting of nails are examples of negative habits. Addiction on the other hand is the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance, thing, or activity. Doing drugs and pornography are example of addictions or activities that a person can be addicted to. However, both can be fought and successfully overcome. When people are addicted they do not have control over what they are doing, taking or using. This addiction may get to the point where it becomes harmful to them.
