25 Tips For Maintaining Healthy Friendships

Do you desire great friends or simply would like to know how to maintain the relationships you currently have? If your answer is yes, then here is a list of what I call the 25 rules of lasting friendship? Obey them and you cannot go wrong.

  5. Be generous, even with your time.
  6. Keep in touch as much as possible.

  9. Give your friend the benefit of the doubt always.
  10. Show interest in what is happening in his/her life. It shows you really care.
  11. Think before you speak and speak only helpful words.
  12. When you are wronged, forgive.When you forgive, forget. Do not keep bringing up the past.
  13. Do not keep grudges. No matter how deeply hurt you are.
  14. Disregard your friend's fault.
  15. Avoid fighting and do not insist on quarrelling.
  16. Be faithful.
  17. Correct gently and in love.
  18. Never abandon a friend.
  19. Be patient with your friends.
  20. Try not too expect too much from your friends. No one is perfect. Even you.
  21. Be a good listener and listen with your mouth closed.
  22. Spend time together as much as you can.
  23. Say the truth always.
  24. Do not narrate your friends, no matter the offence.
  25. Avoiding disappointing friends. If you cannot meet up with a demand say so. Its better to say no than to dissappoint them.
